Pastoral Coordinator - St. Helen Catholic Church
St. Helen Catholic Church located in Vero Beach, FL is searching for a full time Pastoral Coordinator.

Summary:
The primary purpose of the pastoral coordinator is to work alongside the pastor and parish office staff in varying capacities. With over 65 active parish ministries, this individual will be a vital liaison between these active groups and all related parties. Included in their duties will be to assist the pastor in his schedule and correspondences. This individual will need to understand the vision and mission of St. Helen Parish. He/she shall carry out his/her responsibilities in a manner that reflects Catholic teaching.
Essential Communication Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand the vision and mission of the parish and school under the guidance and direction of the Pastor.
- Assist to coordinate church communication, both print and digital, while maintaining the brand of all Church related correspondence.
- Coordinate the proper use and implementation of the website and social media communication by keeping content timely, fresh and engaging.
- Help to coordinate Church platforms (Church App, Vimeo, Formed, Vocation Lessons, Flock Notes).
- Assist with coordinating communication with the Diocese of Palm Beach as well as other church communication teams to share information.
- Assist to maintain correspondence with over 65 ministries regarding Church activities and special events.
- Create the layout of the weekly parish bulletin, upload to printer. This includes self determination as to content, amount of information and frequency of appearance.
- Pass along events and stories of interest to the Diocese of Palm Beach, The Florida Catholic and local press.
- Assist with the development of the Parish Handbook on a yearly basis by working with all the ministries and updating the content for each ministry.
- Develop the yearly parish calendar.
- Keep an updated Ministry email database to communicate effectively.
- Handle design and frequency of all outside advertising.
- Assist in maintaining the Church email account and take appropriate action.
- Assist in handling the nightly and weekend voicemail messages
- Oversee bulk mailing projects.
- Assist the pastor with scheduling.

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook, and Internet.
- Excellent and professional telephone manner and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with Diocesan employees, departments heads, representatives of other agencies and the public.
- Ability to multi-task work independently and make responsible judgment calls
- Adhere to the Diocese of Palm Beach Code of Conduct with emphasis on confidentiality and able to exercise discretion and good business judgment.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional light lifting and carrying of under 15 pounds.
- Occasional moderate carrying and lifting of 15 – 44 pounds.
- Frequent use of both hands and fingers (i.e., typing)
- Frequent extended periods of sitting.
- Occasional periods of standing, kneeling and climbing
- Occasional ability of minimal hearing (i.e., loud noises, sirens) and routine hearing (i.e., listening to others in conversation)
- Occasional time spent working closely with others.
