Development Officer (Long-Term Care Foundation) - Lourdes Noreen-McKeen Residence

Lourdes Noreen-McKeen Residence located in West Palm Beach, FL is searching for a talented and experienced Development Officer.

Development Officer Introduction: 

This is a key role in leading our fundraising efforts, developing, and implementing strategies to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other sources. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully managing fundraising campaigns and cultivating relationships with donors. This position offers a unique opportunity for a self-starter to revamp and rebuild the Lourdes Foundation in an untapped philanthropic community of supporters. 

Development Officer Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or development.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven history of success in soliciting and securing major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Experience writing grants.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in donor database management and fundraising software.
  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices, regulations, and ethical standards.

Development Officer Job Summary:

  • Work with the Lourdes Foundation Board to establish fundraising priorities and strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Administrative Team to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to achieve goals and support organizational objectives.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and other funding sources.
  • Lead the planning and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and special initiatives.
  • Develop an organization-wide calendar of events and supporting administrative timeline.
  • Identify and recommend volunteers for event leadership and committee work.
  • Manage donor stewardship activities, including acknowledgment, recognition, communications.
  • Prepare fundraising materials, including grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and donor communications.
  • Utilize data and analytics to track progress, evaluate performance, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging fundraising opportunities.
  • Research potential corporate and foundation grant opportunities, write grant proposals and comply with all grant reporting requirements.
