Statement from Most Reverend Gerald M. Barbarito

requesting prayers and support for

those affected by Hurricane Milton

October 11, 2024

Our hearts go out in prayer and support to all those so adversely affected by hurricane Milton. It is very hard to understand the nature of a natural disaster, but our faith is reassured that God is with us even in the most difficult of times. Our concern for others so adversely affected by the storm is a sign of God’s presence.

Catholic Charities is undertaking a collection to assist in regards to the ravages and destruction of the storm. All information in this regard can be found on Catholic Charities’ website as well as by clicking here.

We joined in prayer and support and pray for their well-being at this most difficult time.
